How To Self Test For Supplement Dosage

On my website and in my consultations I recommend a few different supplements and often get asked what dosage is the best to take. This is always a difficult question to answer because the best dosage will depend on your unique body with all of the unique factors of your complete makeup kept in mind.

So how do we find out if a supplement is good for us and at what dosage should we take?

Supplement Dosage

I highly recommend using kinesiology testing for any new supplement that you’re introducing into your body. This way you’ll know if it is in fact the right supplement for you, and you’ll know exactly what dosage to take and how many times a day to take it. Apart from peace of mind, this knowledge can bring in self empowerment as you begin to develop a deeper understanding of your physical body.

The Sway Test in particular is one of the easiest ways to kinesiology test for supplements in your own home.

How To Do The Sway Test

  • Stand with your feet about shoulder width apart with your knees slightly bent.
  • Hold in one hand the supplement that you would like to test. Place that hand (with the supplement) on your chest at about the point of your heart, and then place your other hand over the top of it.
  • Now close your eyes and say the words “This Is Good For My Body”.

If your body begins to sway forwards, then the supplement is good for your body. If it begins to sway backwards, then it is not. You’ll be surprised at how easy and obvious the swaying motion is.

If you find however that nothing is happening and you were testing with the supplement inside a container, try taking the supplement out and testing it in your hands on its own. If nothing is still happening then you may be dehydrated, drink plenty of water and try again later!

If you find that you’re still not getting an obvious result then your mind could be getting in the way. Sit in a meditation for five minutes just focusing on your breath. When you try the sway test again, program your body the answer for a “Yes” and a “No”. Say out loud “Go Forward For A Yes Answer” and then “Go Backward For A No Answer”. Then keep testing your body for a Yes and a No until you get a good sway happening.

How to use the sway test for dosage

You can also use this test to check in with what is the best dosage for you. This is extremely useful for supplements like EstroBlock which from my experience seem to have such a varying dosage need from woman to woman. I for example sway tested EstroBlock on myself today and found that I currently need to take two capsules of regular strength per day. Other women have found that they need to take as much as four of the triple strength!! This is a huge difference in dosage requirements and without kinesiology testing could take many months to figure out.

This simply test will save you a lot of time and money!

  • Stand with your feet about shoulder width apart with your knees slightly bent.
  • Hold one capsule/pill in on hand and hold that hand on your chest at about the point of your heart. Then place your other hand over the top.
  • Now say the words, “This Is Good For My Body”.
  • If you sway forward then take one more into your hand and again say “This Is Good For My Body”. Repeat this process until you sway backwards. When you’ve swayed backwards you know that you’re holding one capsule/pill too many. So remove one and this will be your daily dosage!

You can then deepen this knowledge by asking your body if you should take the dosage all at once or throughout the day. With the sway test use the words “I Take This Dose Once A Day”, or “I Take This Dose Twice A Day”, etc.

Just remember to keep checking in with the sway test because out body is constantly healing and changing. What supplement and dosage is good for us one day may not be in a week or a months time. This is often especially the case for EstroBlock which in most cases is better used for a detox period of time.

So I just tried this thinking it’s a load of crap.. but I tried it a couple of times and I tried to “turn off” my muscles so I wouldn’t steer my way knowingly. It’s hard to know if the movement or swing was natural or subconsciously made by yourself. Anyway I just started with estroblock Pro formula (1 month and a half ago) and I started taking just 1 per day and I noticed my skin got a bit more clear but now and then I’d still get some minor breakouts, so I upped the dose to 2 per day.. and it’s basically the same. I feel as if I will get clear skin but then I get 4 new pimples in one day and I get discouraged.

My body told me I should take 2 estroblock Pro but once a day. I don’t know what to think. I do know DIM is something that absolutely worked for me as I started with DIM plus (from nature’s way) and it did wonders to my skin, I got off birth control pills and my acne was so horrible I can’t describe it. After taking DIM plus my whole face cleared. Now I’m not sure if that’s the most I will ever get clear (I don’t have cysts anymore) or if I’m not taking the right dosage. Is it possible I didn’t understand my body movement correctly?

    Thank you

hi veronika, did u take DIM Plus without testing if u were estrogen dominant or deficient first? i just started DIM today without testing my hormone levels. i took 2 in the morning with food and plan to dose this way everyday. should i continue taking 2 at a time or do one in the AM and one in the PM? im curious how u went about ur dosage and would like to know if u “got worse before getting clear” ? any other pointers or advice would be nice as well. thanks 🙂

Kind of confused today. I think my body must be in a different stage. All my normal supplements I’m taking, my body is giving me a no. Right now it’s saying yes to Vitex, Multi V, Tumeric & Probietic. It’s saying no to Estroblock, Milk thistle, Fish oil, Vitamin D & Vitamin C which surprised me on the last three. Something is up though because I’ve put a few pounds on & havn’t changed my eating so I better listen! Do you think I’m overloaded on Fish oil, Vitamin D & Vitamin C? Why would it say no to Vitamin C?

Hi Janell, it’s not that those supplements will be “bad” for you with the sway test, it will just be that your body doesn’t need them in that particular moment. More like, more of them would be unnecessary but your body may ask for them the following day. It’s interesting what the sway test reveals when you do it often!

Thank you, for all the information. My body said yes to estroblock, was doubting the vitex, it would sway backwards and forwards. Should i build off the/decrease the amount slowly over time for vitex? or can you just stop taking the vitex?

Wow! I was amazed at how easily my body reacted to the Sway Test! I must admit upon reading about it I was quite skeptical. But my body swayed easily just as you mentioned! I’m now much more excited to start taking Estroblock because I know my body will benefit from it! Thank you!!
