My lovely friend Judy from HighOnHealth.ca has kindle gifted one of you lucky readers with an acne treatment pack from her natural skin care line.

Judy sent me these products over a year ago and I absolutely LOVE the cosmetic oil in particular and still use it on my skin daily. I have noticed a difference in the quality of my skin since its use. Here is some information about the products from Judy:

Bo’s Own Cosmetic Oil and Bo’s Mud from High on Health Hemp Products have a comedogenic rating of 0 which means they are safe to use on acne prone skin and all other sensitive skin conditions. Thanks!

  • Jennifer October 21, 2015, 11:08 am

So hard to pick a favorite since all the articles are informative and enlightening but I would have to choose “balancing your hormones”. Love this website!

  • Krissy October 21, 2015, 1:29 am

The article on balancing your hormones contains some very interesting information. It is where i first learnt that there are natural ways to fix hormonal imbalances.

  • Janna October 20, 2015, 11:07 pm

Definitely ‘balancing your hormones’. You were the first source I ever read that enlightened me to the fact that my acne is due to my hormones and not just my skin care regimen. Thank you Fran 🙂

  • Stef October 20, 2015, 7:27 pm

My favorite article on this site is the Love Yourself article. In this world, so many of us are learned to not only not love yourself, but that its normal and accepted to pick yourself apart and hate yourself. I feel it is so vital, to any healing journey to love yourself and work on loving yourself through all the stages in your journey, not just when you have reached a specific goal. Really to be on a journey towards health and healing, it must begin with love. Enough love to allow yourself the gift of healing. This was a something I learned on my journey and sometimes still have to remind myself, but Fran’s article is great at tackling the topic at hand. Lots of love…xx

  • Heather October 20, 2015, 3:27 pm

  • Kelsey October 20, 2015, 2:46 am

The Love Yourself article was a big eye opener for me, and made me make the connection between my thoughts about myself, and how my skin was a direct correlation of those thoughts. After implementing self love practices, (and really believing it!) my skin is looking better then ever. Thank you so much Fran for all your help!

  • Lilyanna sollberger October 20, 2015, 2:13 am

Definitely the article on loving yourself and not giving so much attention to the outer identification because it only makes you feel worse. I definitely remember the shift in my happiness levels after I read this article. I knew it before I read the article but Fran’s words inspired me and helped me to integrate this ultimate truth. Thanks Fran!!

  • Nialish October 20, 2015, 2:02 am

My favorite article on the blog is the balance your hormones one. Being someone who is trying really hard to eat and supplement as best as I can and still struggling with acne is one of the toughest things I have to deal with. This article, however, did an enabling job at explaining where I’m going wrong and what could still be causing my acne. Thank you Fran for providing us with this free information, you truly are a blessing!

  • Rosanna October 20, 2015, 12:28 am

I have found everything helpful on your site but what got me hooked was reading the ten steps to clear skin. Those steps in themselves in have been so helpful in opening my eyes and mind to learning as much as I can about acne.
    Thanks for the help!

  • Syarta October 19, 2015, 10:27 pm

My favorite post is “Don’t Clog Your Pores”! It helped me understand the different oils that are specific to each skin type and opened my eyes to cleansing and moisturizing with different oils. Now I’ve become so into the idea of studying different oils for all types of health related issues!

  • Rachel October 19, 2015, 10:00 pm

My favorite article on your blog has got to be the article on ‘balancing your hormones’, followed closely by the article covering ‘how not to clog your pores’. These two issues have made the greatest difference for me as I try to clear my skin, and thanks to your stellar advice I’ve been making strong progress! My favorites tips, overall, have been to use hemp seed oil topically (I’m a convert!), supplement wisely and NOT STRESS! Thank you for all your hard work:-)

  • Sara L. October 19, 2015, 9:46 pm

I think my favorite article would have to be ‘Eat Well Without Stressing About It.’ I’ve struggled with food fears and disordered eating for years due to my battle with severe cystic acne, as well as a myriad of chronic health issues. This article is one that I come back to time and again to ground myself when I feel the fear trying to take over. Thank you for all that you do, Fran!

  • Kassondra October 19, 2015, 9:45 pm

My favorite article is “Eat Well Without Stressing About It”. I especially like that you stressed the importance of not following someone else’s restrictive diet, but eating intuitively, in a way that makes your whole body feel good. I have found the best success in my skin journey with focusing on eat a balanced diet, with a good intake of whole foods, instead of obsessing about restricting whole food groups.

  • Sarah October 19, 2015, 9:31 pm

“How to stay positive when dealing with bad skin!”

  • Adieren narro October 19, 2015, 8:10 pm

I enjoyed reading the article on acne and digestive issues. I have had digestive issues for a very long time. Well 8 years to be exact. Ever since my son was born. Ever since then I have also had bad acne at almost 30 years old. I still struggle with both. I have tried so many products along with changing diet and even taking probiotics and ginger shots to help with stomach issues. I even read your article on cleansing with honey which didn’t work so well for me as it clogged my pores and made me break out more. I love organic ideas and hope one that I will find my holy grail. I have even tried essential oils and I still break out. I still struggle with acne even though I drink plenty of water and would love to win these products as they just might be the one product to save my skin.

  • Melissa October 19, 2015, 8:09 pm

  • karime October 19, 2015, 7:42 pm

From way back when it was highonhealth.com, I liked a series of articles on how ingredients in cosmetics can cause acne due to allergies. There’s especially one article with links to resources on which ingredients can be clogging or irritating to us and sometimes I have to google the website’s name along with the title to get the actual article before I buy certain new products to try out.

  • Sierra October 19, 2015, 7:41 pm

Eat Well Without Stressing About It is my favorite article on your blog. Magazines and media reinforce the importance of diets (especially these new crazy fad diet trends). We are bombarded every day with a new Dr.Oz breakthrough superfood, or another food to add to the ‘DO NOT EAT BY ANY MEANS NECCESARY’ list. Some sources tell us to count calories, others tell us to count carbs. It can become overwhelming and contradictory, and what should be easy …becomes a headache and a daunting task.. Which makes me just want to say “You know what… screw it” and eat a Hersheys bar.
I like that this article gives basic common sense information, reminding us all to keep calm and JUST EAT GOOD FOOD. The emphasis on a positive mindset is super important and often overlooked. This is a great article with a lot of valuable information.

  • Emilie October 19, 2015, 7:40 pm

    : )

  • Shanna Thouin October 19, 2015, 7:34 pm

I love “How to use Hemp Seed Oil as a cleanser” – that has made a significant difference in calming and helping to clear my skin. (it made me realize I was doing WAY too much to my skin before)
I also really love “How to stay positive when dealing with bad skin” 🙂

  • Jessica October 19, 2015, 7:34 pm

I am not sure exactly what the names of the articles were but from reading a lot of your stuff I have switched a lot of my routine. I now cleanse with either organic raw honey or Manuka honey and it has worked wonders! I also have added some much needed vitamins (including what’s in the foods I need to eat) and I feel much better. Jojoba oil has become my friend now, as before I was afraid of using any oils, I sometimes use it as a cleaner, it’s always in my moisturizer (which is aloe, jojoba, and a little tea tree oil). My skin isn’t perfectly clear but has made amazing improvements and I am looking forward to even more healing. I hope this counts as a valid entry : )

  • KATIE October 19, 2015, 7:29 pm
